I’m Monique, an avid photographer (read amateur) and traveller who is very new to blogging. I met my husband while vacationing in Egypt! I started this blog as a way to keep us connected with our family and friends everywhere.
What is the hassanity?
Well, it’s the craziness I call meeting of my husband in Egypt on a vacation a long time ago, him moving to the US, getting married and all of our adventures together since. It is the blending of two people from different cultures trying to find our way in this crazy world.
What do you do for a living?
I am currently in the military and have a full time job in the medical field perhaps one day I share all the woes of that…
Does this blog make you money?
Nope. Writing this blog actually costs me money! I know…I know…maybe one day I will start advertising. I would consider selling some of my photos so if you are interested please contact me.
What kind of camera do you use for the blog photographs?
I started out with Canon Powershot then switched to a Canon T2i DSLR and recently upgraded to the Canon 70D which I love. I have a few different lenses, including a telephoto zoom, prime, macro (my favorite) and wide angle lenses.
Who takes the photographs for the blog?
My husband or I take all of the photos on my site unless there is a source.
May I use your photographs on my site?
Sure! Please just make sure to link back to my blog as my images are all copyrighted.
What program do you use to edit your photographs?
I try to edit my photographs very little, most of the ones on the site are straight out of the camera. But I do like to use Lightroom or Photoshop.
Where do you host your blog?
I initially started my blog on WordPress.com then moved over to WordPress.org. I look up all the code on google or find cool plug ins that work with my site.
I would like to start a blog, any advice?
Since I am new at this the only advice I have is – write good content often. Once I am a little more experienced I can give you more info!
How can I get in touch with you?
